Advice and Guidelines for 快活视频Pre-medical Students

Support for Students with Disabilities

Accessibility & Disability Services provides resources for students with both learning and physical disabilities. It is important to register with ADS as soon as possible after admission so they can provide timely help.

Advising

The MB3 program is committed to helping students succeed and graduate in their chosen concentration. Each student is assigned an adviser. The adviser will not only assist you in planning what classes to take, but also will take an active role in providing career planning.

Students are not able to register without first seeing an adviser who will remove their advising hold. Students should be familiar with and able to use your Online Services account.

  • View "My Academic Requirements Guide" if you need help navigating your account.

Degree Completion Planning

Degree Completion Planning is designed to more efficiently map your path towards graduation. It is required by Maryland Senate Bill 740. Senate Bill 740 is the Career and College Readiness and College Completion Act of 2013. It was signed into law May 2013 and requires all students to file an Individualized Degree Completion Plan by the time they complete 45 credits.

An Individualized Degree Completion Plan (IDCP) takes the Suggested Degree Completion Plan of your major (or concentration or track) and personalizes it for your academic career given your unique needs, goals, and aspirations. This plan could help you save time and money by highlighting a more direct route towards degree completion and graduation. Eventually, all Towson and University System of Maryland students will be required to complete an IDCP.

Step 1: Check Suggested Degree Completion Plan for your concentration

Go to the list of required courses for your concentration in the . Print a copy of the Required Courses. Then click on that page's left link labeled 鈥淭ypical Four-Year Sequence of Courses,鈥 and print a copy of the Suggested Degree Completion Plan.

Step 2: Open Your Academic Requirements

Go to On the left hand side of your student dashboard, under Academics, select Academic Requirements Report.

Step 3: Write Down All Non-Completed University Core Courses

Using your Academic Requirements, write University Core courses that you have not completed.

Step 4: Write Down All Non-Completed Major Courses

Using your Academic Requirements, write down all major required courses (from the list you printed in Step #1) that you have not completed.

Step 5: Check Your Prerequisites

Using the course descriptions in the , check to see if you have completed the prerequisites for required courses you still need to take for your major; if not, write down the prerequisites for the courses you still need to complete.

Step 6: Create an Individualized Degree Completion Plan

Using the Individualized Degree Completion Plan (internal link to degree completion form 鈥 excel file) spreadsheet, create a plan with the courses you still need to complete in order to graduate. Keep in mind your prerequisites, the courses you have not completed, and the Suggested Degree Completion Plan for your concentration.

  • Click on the Individualized Degree Completion Plan spreadsheet to open it in Microsoft Excel or save it to your computer.
  • After the spreadsheet is open in Excel, input the total units earned up to today ( do NOT include credits for courses you are currently taking).
  • Input the number of enrolled units you are now in (current semester).
  • Fill in the remaining schedule by term (use drop down menu for each term). Use the Anticipated Course Offerings guide to see when courses are offered.
  • You must have a minimum of 120 credits showing in the 鈥淭otal Career Units鈥 box.
  • You must have at least 32 credits in 300 and 400 level classes
  • You must satisfy all University Core and major courses.
  • When you鈥檙e done, save your file and attach the file in an email to your adviser.

Step 7: Meet With your adviser

Schedule a meeting with your adviser. Bring a copy of your Individualized Degree Completion Plan to the meeting. You and your adviser will review the plan, and if all looks good they will remove your registration hold.
