Accelerated Graduate Courses
Complete your honors curriculum and work towards a graduate degree at the same time.
Students accepted into an accelerated graduate program who are also pursuing the completion of the Honors curriculum may apply to use a maximum of three units from that accelerated program toward the fulfillment of their Honors Experiential and Advanced Learning Requirements.
In order to receive these units, a student must do the following:
- Be accepted into an accelerated graduate program.
- Apply online before the start of the course by completing the .
- Submit copies of the following documents via the Online Portal:
- Official notification of your acceptance into an accelerated graduate program or graduate program course (e.g., an email from a university official)
- The syllabus for the course you鈥檒l take. Note: only 600-, 700-, or 800-level courses can be considered for this option.
- The agreement form
- Fulfill all requirements of the accelerated graduate course.
- Complete an additional, five-page reflective essay at the end of the semester.
- Present a poster at the Celebration of Scholarship and Learning either in the semester immediately after the coursework was completed or, in the case of a graduating student, in the same semester.
It is important to note that credit will not be granted retroactively. All the items on the list above must be completed before these units will manifest on a student鈥檚 Honors College academic record.
