We are all susceptible to following trends. Whether it's a new lifestyle trend or what's trending on social media, trends capture our attention and influence us greatly. Trends also enter other areas of our lives, including in our leadership and workplaces. There are current leadership trends that are shaping and impacting how we lead others, how we lead the next generation, and how we construct our workplace cultures.

But how credible are these trends? Are they worth following? Or are they just myths we need to expose?

During this forum we will examine some of today's most popular trends, examine their credibility, and actively debunk the myths within them. We will help you avoid the traps within these trends that could result in costly missteps for you and your organization.

You will receive:

  • a new perspective and awareness around the current leadership trends on workplace culture, leadership styles, and leading the next generation
  • strategies on how to effectively balance new trends while holding onto your core principles and beliefs
  • a plan to avoid the traps that may live within today’s leadership myths

We are living in a time with accelerated speed of change, rapid introduction of game-changing technologies, rising inflation, a drought of talent, intensifying natural disasters, and impactful social movements.

We are leading in what is referred to as a VUCA world—short for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. In times like this, it’s important that leaders have the knowledge and tools to transform challenges into opportunities. To do this, we must lean into the concept of ‘optimistic, radical integrity,’ which we define as “hopeful and confident about a better future and possessing the character, courage, and competence to make leadership decisions that create positive and lasting outcomes for stakeholders, particularly, historically under-served populations.

We hope that this conversation with noted leadership expert Jackie Insinger will not only inspire regional leaders to build integrity-driven and authentic connections that spark optimism, but that it will also provide practical tactics to enable and empower us to do that.

People are the greatest competitive advantage any organization has. And, in today's rapidly changing world, it's harder than ever for employers to attract and retain people. Resignations are up by 23%, 40% of employees are thinking of quitting their jobs, and 69% of employers report that it's hard to fill open positions-the proverbial war for talent is on.

Top talent have so many options for where to work, and they aren't afraid to walk away if their needs aren't being met. Employers are left with the challenge of meeting talent's evolving expectations, while also adapting hiring strategies for the future of work.

Today's workforce is highly competitive with a multi-generational workplace and hybrid work environments. What worked in the past won't get us where we want and need to go.

IN THIS forum, PARTICIPANTS DISCOVERed

  • Key data points influencing the future of work
  • How to attract best-in-class talent in a competitive market
  • Specific tactics for how to better engage your people
  • Best practices to grow and retain a highly-talented workforce

Values-driven courageous decisions made by leaders have the opportunity to have incredibly positive, meaningful and lasting impacts on the communities in which we open. Collectively, we aspire to uplift our region, and that requires courageous decisions. We have an opportunity to learn from one of the most influential leaders in the country about the conscious choices that he made as a business leader that helped to uplift New York City. We hope that this conversation will not only inspire leaders in our region to make courageous decisions, but that it will also provide practical advice to enable and empower us to do that.
