New Scholarship
Again for Fall '25 the department is awarding an Eddie L. Loh Scholarship to incoming students. Any accepted student planning to major in physics is eligible to apply.
To learn more about the scholarship, email LohScholarship AT_TOWSON.
Available Scholarships
PAGS majors may qualify for a number of scholarships offered on a competitive basis by:
- the department
- the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics
- Towson University
- external foundations and agencies
Before applying, carefully examine the requirements for each scholarship or award of interest to make sure you meet the qualifications. All scholarships require letters of recommendation from two Towson University faculty. Students are encouraged to contact faculty prior to submitting an application. Applications without letters will not be considered.
Additional scholarships may be found using Towson University's .
Internship Advisers
In the department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences, every student is paired with an adviser from the faculty that most closely aligns with their interests. The adviser will help create the roadmap to graduation — classes to take and when to take them — but will also serve as a link to the world beyond Towson. They can help you identify appropriate internships and research opportunities and suggesting options for the future based on your interests and abilities.
Internship advisers can help you understand:
- Is an internship right for you?
- Where do you find one?
- Can one be used as credit toward graduation? What about after graduation — grad school or a job?
- What kind of job does this major help you get?
