Sophomores and transfer students majoring in the Department of Kinesiology are assigned to a faculty advisor within their area of study. This faculty member serves as the student鈥檚 academic advisor for the remainder of their time in our program(s). The academic advisor will also help the student complete and file a Degree Completion Plan by the end of their Sophomore year or first year after transferring in. Transfer planning resources for prospective students are available at the Transfer Admissions.
Prior to each Fall and Spring registration period, a Mandatory Advising Hold is placed on ever continuing undergraduate student鈥檚 account. The department holds advising periods in March and October. Students will receive notification of available advising dates via email and class announcements. It is the student's responsibility to seek an appointment during this time to receive registration guidance and to have their Mandatory Advising Hold removed.
