Towson University is the second largest university in the state of , located just eight miles north of the heart of Baltimore city. Baltimore

Towson University is approximately eight miles north of the city of providing a wealth of cultural and educational resources. Baltimore played a significant role in the American Revolution and today offers an interesting mix of historic character and modern city life.

Nicknamed 'Charm City' because of its hospitality, Baltimore has something for everyone. Attractions include Baltimore's famed Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Maryland Science Center, and historic Fells Point.

Just west of the harbor you can take in a baseball game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Farther uptown are the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Lyric Opera House. Baltimore is also the home of the Walters Art Gallery and The Baltimore Zoo, located in Druid Hill Park.
