Krista Grubb

krista grubb headshotKrista serves as client relationship manager and is responsible for cultivating and stewarding new business for the Grasmick Institute. She provides counsel, needs assessments, and solutions to partners to enhance their leadership development, talent, retention, and culture efforts.

Krista previously served as assistant director of undergraduate admissions at Johns Hopkins University, where she led staff training and onboarding and managed the recruitment strategy for the San Francisco Bay area. Additionally, she spearheaded the creation and implementation of a new alumni volunteer group for which she recruited and engaged alumni from across the globe. In this role, she developed partnerships with key stakeholders across school districts, community-based organizations, other universities, and the greater JHU community.

After admissions, she became an education consultant where she shepherded clients through the college application process, helped students develop soft skills, and crafted educational materials such as webinars, podcasts, articles, and content for news outlets.

From these experiences, she discovered that she appreciate’s creating partnerships and developing leaders at all levels, which led her to this role.

Krista holds a B.A. in cognitive science and an M.S. in organizational leadership from Johns Hopkins University. Her MSOL capstone evaluated the necessary competencies for effective leadership in the virtual space.

Krista and her fiancé have a cat named Cannoli and a dog named Tiramisu (they love Italian food). In her spare time, she enjoys watching the Ravens and Orioles, participating in a weekly trivia league, and playing in adult social sports leagues (especially dodgeball and skee-ball). She also often attends local musical theatre shows and plays.
