Biography

Dr. Patricia Rice Doran is Chair of the Special Education Department and Professor of Special Education. She is currently PI on a $2.6 million teacher professional development project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of English Language Acquisition. She has published and presented widely on teacher professional development related to multilingual learners and assessment and instruction for multilingual learners with disabilities. In addition, she is active in scholarship and teacher professional learning related to neuroimmune disorders and supporting students with health impairments in school settings.
