Elin Lobel, PhD, GCFP, CMA is a Professor of Kinesiology at Towson University teaching dance, motor development and learning. She studied dance at Walnut Hill School For Performing Arts and Connecticut College and earned a doctorate in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois@ Urbana-Champaign. She is a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Laban Movement Analyst. Lobel co-authored Dance and Somatics (2012) and has presented her scholarship nationally and internationally. She has published articles in the Journal of Dance Medicine and Science, Journal of Dance Education, the Journal of Laban Movement Studies, the Feldenkrais Journal and The child: An encyclopedic companion. Dr. Lobel serves as editor, editorial board member and peer reviewer for a variety of academic peer reviewed journals.
